Stakeholders & engagement

Stakeholder management is not a broadcast plan. It is the intentional design of participation, communication, and decision-making around people who influence or experience the outcome.

01 · CORE LESSON

Build the mental model.

Understand influence, impact, and interest so every stakeholder receives the right involvement.

Include decision-makers, funders, SMEs, delivery roles, operational teams, users, customers, partners, vendors, and regulators. Ask who changes the solution and whose work or outcome the solution changes.

  • Distinguish formal authority from informal influence.
  • Include people affected after go-live, not only during delivery.
  • Revisit the stakeholder register as scope changes.
